As the Director of Community Engagement of Apparel and General Merchandise at GS1 US, Jonathan Gregory facilitates collaboration among brands, retailers, and their supply chain partners to optimize the use of GS1 Standards in the retail industry. With a focus on leveraging item level radio frequency identification (RFID) for inventory accuracy, Mr. Gregory draws on his first-hand implementation experience to help companies achieve unified commerce and create the optimal consumer experience.
Prior to his work with GS1 US, Mr. Gregory worked 8 years as an RFID Consultant and Program Manager for Checkpoint Systems, where he deployed retail RFID solutions for several Fortune 500 companies. Also, as RFID Solution Manager during his 10-year tenure at Computer Sciences Corporation, he deployed RFID solutions in the Aerospace Industry. He was responsible for analyzing RFID tag performance and durability, overseeing project implementations, designing enterprise solutions, developing new business, and providing operational guidance.
Mr. Gregory earned his Bachelor of Science, Management Information Systems degree from the University of Connecticut, and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a Six Sigma Green Belt, is RFID+ certified by CompTIA, and has his Artificial Intelligence certification from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
